Manchester Museum 09.05.24

Woodland 3 and 4 had an amazing time visiting Manchester Museum! There was so much to look at and learn about. We learnt all about different animals and focused on developing our understanding of minibeasts (which is our topic this half term). We also learnt a lot about the past and how things were different a long time ago which ties into our Change, History & The Passage of Time topic which we have been learning about all year! It was so cool to see things like vases, plates and money that people used a long time ago. Our favourite room was the dinosaur room where we got to see Stan the Tyrannosaurus Rex! It was incredible thinking about the fact that there were really dinosaurs on our planet a long, long time ago.

The children were absolutely spectacular all day. They did amazing listening to their grown-ups, waited patiently for their friends to be finished looking so they could move onto the next exciting thing and asked all sorts of amazing questions! Staff at the museum and parents commented that the children were brilliant, well behaved and a credit to the school!

As always a huge thank you to our parents helpers and volunteers – we wouldn’t be able to have such great adventures without you!
